4 Boys and Dental Care....

.
All four boys recently had dental cleanings and check ups.......

In the NO CAVITIES club was .........
NOAH ........

YAY NOAH!!!!!

Nathan and Kaedyn were too but - they have caps....... not sure if that really counts - cuz if they had cavities, the caps would be pointless......

Soooooooooooooooooo ....

Calahan wasn't on that list.  He has some cavities ... two I guess.. and needs a root canal to try to save a tooth - he's not happy about that, just wants it pulled.  He refuses to deal with the drill and stuff - anxiety - sensory issues somehow....  just...... won't .....  do ..... it.....

Literally - last time he had to have cavities filled, he had to go under general........ not kidding.   There were plenty of attempts made to fix them - but he made them stop every time.

EVERY TIME........

::: sigh :::

So I call the place, finally - to get him an appointment ........ and I get this BS ...... "We'll call you...."

They said that they wanted it done right away - and it's already been several weeks....  yeah....

Makes me want to scream not so lovely things in the phone.

Now, back to Noah .......

Noah is part of the no cavity club - has been for awhile.  Dennis swears it has to have something to do with his genetic disorder ... LOL....

He has shark face ..... mouth........ teeth .......... shark teeth .........

He has a lot of problems going on .....

1: He has BIG adult teeth

2: He has a tiny jaw

3: Over crowding and NO ROOM

So instead of his adult teeth pushing his baby teeth out - they are just finding new spots to go...
(OMG please ignore his crusty morning mouth and hairy teeth - I caught him prior to brushing)

He has a dead baby tooth (since he was 2 and fell against a coffee table, damaging the nerves in the left front tooth and chipping the right one) .....

So they suggested we get in to see an Ortho - ASAP ......

So I went by gut, called an Ortho who does free consults ...... no one takes his insurance .... and this is the x-ray (from last year) that the Ortho showed me...
This is a panoramic x-ray.  Let's address the lower jaw first - since that's easier.   The left eyetooth (next to the adult front teeth, but still down in the gum line) .... is completely underdeveloped.  The upper jaw he has teeth turned completely sideways from what they should be (or at least one tooth) and you can see way up top - he has teeth going in sideways - as in - completely impacted ....

He needs help... and soon :(

Makes me sad.   And insurance won't cover it - so I don't know what to do....    still working on that.

So, to end - I want to share some pictures of my brave boys who BOTH sat in the dentist chair for the FIRST TIME this last week.....  YAY NATHAN AND KAEDYN!!!   They did GREAT!  Especially Nathan - there was no fighting on his part, Kaedyn on the other hand....
Playing in the waiting room - Cal, Nathan & Kaedyn

Nathan being a BIG BOY in the chair all by himself!!!!

Kaedyn interested in what she's doing .... as long as it's not about him

Kaedyn playing during Nathan's exam and Cal reading

PINK GLASSES

GREEN GLASSES
Reason I didn't get any pictures of Kaedyn in the chair was because I had to straddle the chair while he was in it so that he'd get in it - and even that took a lot of convincing! LOL
