Nathan's Cleft Palate Surgery (Part 1)

.
 Pre-Surgery

May 25th (2012) we arrived at Children's Seattle ....   mind you, we were told that we needed to be there by 10:30am and then his surgery would be at 11:45 ...

We left home about 8am ... Nathan was put in his carseat and was handed Nana's tablet to keep him distracted from the fact that he hadn't eaten since 7:30 or drank since 1:30 ...
The ride to Tacoma was pretty un-event-cry-ful......
After that - it was GAME ON .....   it was really all the McDonalds signs we passed that set him off....
Well....... do you?
This is Scotch Broom .... brought over to help battle erosion - however it's taken completely over and is now considered a noxious weed...... poor Scotch Broom, get's such a bad wrap ....
Seattle from a-far ....
I got my parent badge and my beeper for the day ....
Nathan decided to play the Wii in the waiting are until we were called back.  We were suppose to be called back at 10:30 ...
We got called back around 10:45 ...   here is Nathan being told he's got to get into a gown and such.  Does not provide a happy Tator.....
But we got him washed, and changed, and as long as the tablet was in his hand - he was a-o-k ....
This is boredom after an hour wait........ got called back at 10:45 - fifteen minutes later then what we were told.....  and this was about 11:45, the time that the surgery was suppose to be at ....

 Yellow Room 16
Trying to cure boredom........  "Nathan show me Magenta"

"HERE.... SEE!?"
Magenta was suppose to go back with him - but she didn't....
 Glass work on the doors....
Then - finally ....  at 12:50 they came and got Nathan (after talking to my Mom and I of course) ... and the anesthesiologist came in (with his Australian accent btw) ... and carried him away ..... complete with the tablet ...
